schoooool's out for summ...oh, whoops

i'm back at school now. moved in yesterday, but my ethernet cable was too short, so i made a wal-mart run with linsey and her roommate after band tonight to get a new one, so i finally have internet. i forgot to mention earlier this week that i went to see "march of the penguins" with my mom on sunday. it was really good. a lot of surprisingly close shots of the creatures. there are some heartbreaking shots, but it's definitely worth seeing. penguins are crazy!

band camp has been interesting. yesterday, i found out that one of our returning bass players quit to go play for NC central's drumline, so we had to promote a cymbal yesterday. he is now essentially three weeks behind the rest of the bassline, and, not to be mean, but it shows. the upside of yesterday was that i found out we have 16 tubas this year (twice as many as last year), which is HOT!

i'm feeling considerably better than i did this past weekend. i don't even feel like i have mono, but i'm taking it easy anyway, so i don't make it worse. catch you later.
